This is a spacious one bedroom apartment with a full kitchen. At 600 square feet, it is equipped with everything you need for living, eating, and sleeping in comfort and style, the apartment comes with amenities: a queen bed, a comfortable couch in the living room that folds out into a full sized bed (note for full disclosure, the fold-out bed is not particularly comfortable!), an electric fireplace for cozy nights, an expandable dining table, Roku TV where you can log into your own platforms, wifi, a luxurious bathtub and separate shower, and a gorgeous shared outdoor sitting area.
While the apartment is walking distance from all of the restaurants and shops in Tannersville, it is also perfect for nights in. The kitchen is well equipped and has everything you need for basic cooking. There is an oven/stove, a microwave, dishwasher, and a fridge. And, it is well stocked with plates, bowls, cups, utensils, pots and pans, and cooking basics. There is also a k-cup coffee machine (including complimentary k-cups) and a french press (which you'd need to supply your own coffee for). And there is hot chocolate, tea, and sugar. Note, while the kitchen is not kosher, there is a good kosher market, the Circle K, that is a 5 minute walk from the house.
The apartment is perfectly located for activities - walking distance from everything in Tannersville, and 5 minutes from both skiing and from hiking! You will be 5 minutes to Hunter, 5 minutes to Kaaterskill Falls, 5 minutes from the Arboretum, 20 minutes to Windham, 30 minutes to Saugerties, Catskill and Woodstock, and 40 minutes to Kingston.
There is parking behind the building, or if you're traveling without a car, the bus stop is right up the street.
Recommended local spots: There are so many great places that we can’t list them all, but a few of our favorites are Last Chance for eating in, or for picking up amazing local cheese and charcuterie to take back to the apartment. Oh and they have an amazing beer selection too, if that’s your thing! Mama’s Boy Burgers for eating in or taking out, plus they serve Jane’s Ice Cream (to stay or to go…) We can never resist a stop at Maggie's for a hearty breakfast or lunch and Selena’s Diner, where they are as nice as the food is good, and restaurants Tabla and Jessie’s Harvest House are both lovely for fancier dining out, and Hotel Lilien is just up the road - a great spot for cocktails and lite bites. Tops Supermarket is just a few minute drive and the Circle K Kosher grocery store is a 5 minute walk in the other direction in case you want to get groceries for eating in. There are other great gift shops along Main Street as well, but a few of our favorites are Sundry (classy home décor), Bones and Stones (for something utterly fantastical and unique), and Camp Catskill for all of your outdoor hiking and camping gear. There’s a good wine shop in town but we LOVE the one up the road (halfway to Hunter) called Elevated Wine & Spirits – they have such an interesting and deep selection!
